Dennis Scholl is a resident of Hellertown, PA and a 1973 graduate of The Pennsylvania State University, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History. Dennis’s professional experience includes a position as Tourism Director for the Bethlehem Area Chamber of Commerce from 1975-1979; reporter and columnist for the Bethlehem Globe-Times from 1980-1988; Associate Editor for Rodale Press magazines from 1988-1991; and Outreach Coordinator for the Rodale Institute from 1991-1995. Dennis also served as an environmental education consultant and instructor for Saucon Valley School District from 1996-2004. Dennis founded the Delaware River Shad Fishermen’s Association in 1974 and served as President for 20 years. The organization was responsible for the acquisition of $2.1 million in state funding for the construction of shad passageways on the Lehigh River. Dennis and his wife Josephine, a first-grade teacher, own Monarchs Alive! butterfly service. Dennis enjoys writing, photography, fishing, hunting and gardening.
