Laurys Station - Northampton

Status: Complete open and improved

The Basics:  This new section of trail links Laurys Station with Northampton Canal Park, via a new trailhead in Cementon.  As users travel this former railroad bed, they can catch glimpses of the Lehigh River, remnants of mills and railroad infrastructure, and wildlife.

The Details:  This section is in the final stages of a construction project.  The trail is now open, but users are reminded to exercise caution around remaining construction sites.  The new, cinder trail surface is ideal for biking and walking.  Please refer to the D&L Blog for news about the “official” opening date and dedication ceremony.  To continue south from Laurys Station and Cementon, cross the Rt. 329 bridge to Northampton Canal Park.
