Northampton - Hanover Canal Park

Status: Unimproved open, travel at your own risk

The Basics:  This section connects Northampton Canal Park with Hanover Canal Park.  Both parks are well maintained and scenic.  Users will travel along the old canal prism and catch occasional views of the Lehigh River.

The Details:  Although this section is used by locals, it is unimproved and ill-suited for families with young children.  The earthen towpath, where unobstructed, provides a relatively smooth riding surface.  Improvements are in the earliest design phases.  Until construction is complete, travel at your own risk.
