The 1753 Bachmann Publick House is a living history house museum dedicated to the education of colonial life and early American history. Enjoy a visit this quaint, restored tavern. The room in the 1753 Bachmann Publick House that served as the Kings Court has been restored to its colonial era appearance. Visitors to the restored tavern can take a step back in time and see re-enacted Colonial and Revolutionary Court proceedings. Located at the northeast corner of Second and Northampton Streets, the Bachmann is Easton’s oldest building. It was owned by George Taylor and served as his principal residence.
