This group of houses was known as “Packer’s Row.” Built of stone, the houses may have been a copy of Elfreth’s Alley in Philadelphia. All houses are sturdily built and well designed. A stone wall divides every other dwelling to help cut down on noise. The three-story row houses were individualized by variations in dormer, bay window and door and window trim.
