The J.J. Performing Arts Center was built by the late Joseph J. Ferrara in 1989 and became the home of the Greater Hazleton Philharmonic Society. Father Joe needed a place to hold rehearsals and performances for his Symphony Orchestra, Chorus and educational programs. The 450-seat center, not only holds cultural performances by the Hazleton Philharmonics, but is also available for rental for anything from business meetings, church services, teaching youth and adults of community.
