Until dam improvements are made, Leaser Lake has limited recreational opportunities. It was built by the Pennsylvania Fish Commission for water-oriented recreation and opened for public use in 1971. The Fish Commission owns the lake and surrounding land. The 117-acre lake provides fishing from boats or shore. Sailboats to 17-feet, and small electric motors are permitted. Swimming and bathing are prohibited. Recently state funds have been awarded to help restore the dam.
