The Weissport trailhead provides access to the section of towpath north of town and the section linking Weissport and Parryville to the south. If you want a bite to eat, stop in at the small diner located directly adjacent to the trailhead entrance. Recently renovated, the trailhead has ample parking, a pavilion with picnic tables, fishing platforms, and portable restroom facilities.
Please note that there is no direct access to Jim Thorpe from the Weissport section of trail.
