This trailhead serves as the gateway to Lehigh Gorge State Park and is the perfect place from which to launch your adventure into the gorge. For history buffs, a restored, 29-ton, Union Pacific caboose with railroad memorabilia is located nearby on Main Street. If you need to load up on trail snacks and drinks, one of White Haven’s stores will have what you need. If you want a meal or a beer at the end of a long day, there are a number of restaurants within walking distance of the trailhead.
There is normally plenty of parking, but on busy summer weekends the lot can fill up quickly. At select times, Pocono Whitewater operates a snack bar and offers restrooms to patrons. Otherwise, there are no restroom facilities available at this trailhead, and trail users should plan accordingly.
